Lab Diamond Sourcing

How Jewelers Source Lab-Grown Diamonds from China

A professional sourcing process connects a precise buyer specification with current supply options, verification material, commercial terms and the intended jewelry use.

Submit a precise purchasing specification

Start with the intended jewelry use, shape, carat or millimeter range, color, clarity, growth-method preference, certification requirement, quantity and destination. Include setting constraints or matching tolerances when they affect fit or appearance. A clear brief makes it possible to compare current options on the same basis.

Verify reports and laser inscriptions

For a certified laboratory-grown diamond, compare the report number with the issuing laboratory's official verification service. Then connect the report to the physical stone through the available laser inscription, measurements and weight. A report image alone does not confirm that the supplied item and document match.

Compare CVD and HPHT through disclosed information

CVD and HPHT are growth methods, not automatic indicators of price or quality. State whether the project requires one method or has no preference. Review the available report and treatment disclosure for each proposed item instead of inferring the method from photography.

Source center stones, matched pairs and melee differently

A center-stone brief may prioritize measurements, face-up appearance and certification. Matched pairs also require dimension, outline, grading and visual tolerances. Melee requests should define millimeter size, count or total carat weight, quality range and intended use. These purchasing units should not be compared through a single generic specification.

Coordinate with China-based jewelry production resources

When the sourcing scope includes finished jewelry, connect the approved stone specification with CAD, metal, setting, quantity, packaging and quality-control requirements. Use written production records and refer to production partners or jewelry manufacturing partners unless facility ownership has been independently verified.

Prevent report, stone and specification mismatches

Keep one sourcing record for the proposed stone, report number, inscription media, dimensions, weight, photos or video and quotation reference. Recheck the measurable details before order approval and again when the physical item is prepared for shipment.

Confirm MOQ, quotation, timing and shipping

Minimum quantities, quotation validity, lead time, packing, carriers, payment terms and shipping responsibilities should be confirmed for the actual specification and destination. Duty, VAT and import obligations depend on classification, origin, destination and the importer's circumstances.

The role of Panyu in jewelry production and setting

Our operations are based in Guangzhou, with access to Panyu's jewelry manufacturing, setting, customization and quality-control ecosystem. This supports direct coordination for custom production, while laboratory-grown diamond sourcing can draw on a broader China-based supply network.
